As a family business, we take a long term view and wish to make a positive impact on our local community. We are currently engaged with a number of charities and organisations that support either our employees or our industry.
The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust funds the education of talented and aspiring craftspeople. R W Armstrong has supported its ‘Celebration of British Craftsmanship’ and will this year sponsor a scholar, giving them the opportunity to work with masters of their craft.
Nigel Armstrong is a Trustee of the Hampshire Medical Fund and a member of the 200 Club. R W Armstrong regularly supports and fundraises for the charity, which buys cutting-edge medical equipment for local Hampshire hospitals.
Breast Cancer offers vital one-to-one emotional, physical and practical support to anyone affected by breast cancer. R W Armstrong supported a successful local fundraising event held by one of our clients, which raised over £37,000.
R W Armstrong recently supported a local community charity Sparkle Ball, in aid of the NSPCC.
The construction industry has some of the highest suicide rates. R W Armstrong is proud to support Solent Mind, in order to help those working in our sector who may be suffering with mental health issues.
R W Armstrong is pleased to support our local Chineham Tigers Girls’ Football Club.
For over 10 years, R W Armstrong has supported Manydown Tennis Club, which reaches out to local schools with a calendar of sessions, to encourage young children to take part in the sport.
Our conservation division, Daedalus Conservation, proudly sponsors the Boss Stone Carving Competition, It is held at Weymouth College each year, home to the best stone masonry courses in the UK.
