We are delighted that one of our large projects, Dorset House, has won a Georgian Group Award for best Restoration of a Georgian Country House.

R W Armstrong completed extensive refurbishment work to this Grade I Listed manor house, considered to be one of England’s finest Baroque houses. One of its most distinctive features is its lack of corners, as a hallmark of its designer, Thomas Archer.

The work comprised of the conservation and renovation to return the building back to a family home, which also includes the addition of a swimming pool pavilion, garage complex, and a biomass building.

The House was also featured in ‘World of Interiors’ Magazine in an article focusing on the interior finishes in the building.
