Founded over 50 years ago, R.W. Armstrong & Sons has established an enviable reputation as a traditional building company of the highest standard.
Working exclusively on substantial country homes in Hampshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire, Surrey and West London, our highly personalised service and directly employed workforce has developed perfectly, in tandem with the unprecedented demand for skilled project management and high quality craftsmanship at the top end of the country house market.
In recent years, our area of operation has expanded significantly, with a marked increase for our skills and services in Sussex. We have consequently reinforced our presence in this area by acquiring the subsidiary, E.A. Chiverton Ltd, a very similar, albeit smaller, building contractor based near Chichester.
A good design can only be realised through capable craftsmanship and experienced management. Our decades of apprentice training has resulted in a large, talented workforce of committed craftsmen co-ordinated by IOB qualified contracts managers and experienced site managers. The company has Investors In People status and is a Chartered Building Company with the Chartered Institute of Building (www.ciob.org.uk).
